  • By way of warming up a short massage of the leg muscles (with a stick or exercise ball) can improve muscle performance.
  • When cooling-down effective use can be made of a stick to loosen the layers of individual muscles. In the beginning this can be very painful, especially in cases where many layers of muscles are tightly bound up.
